Sayato organized, together with the “Filippo Montesi” Primary School in Fano (PU), a didactic, educational and creative path to introduce contemporary art to schoolchildren.
Thanks to the friendly and free collaboration of the artists Anna Tozzi ATò, Francesco Diotallevi, Sondra Segala, Tonino Maurizi and Vito Nucci – along with street artist Niccolò Amadori – the girls and boys attending the school were able to attend live creative workshops held by the artists themselves and create their own class works.
The “Tracce d’arte” project pursues the goal of “being well at school” and aims to address the need for upgrading the school’s indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Each artist, matched with the pupils of the classes declined by age group, conducted diverse workshops based on the artistic proposals and the materials and media used. The works created by individual classes will contribute, once hung on the walls of the institution, to beautify the school environment and “leave a trace” of the passage of pupils. The fifth-grade classes, on the other hand, will help create exterior murals intended to upgrade some of the architectural elements of the facility. Individual educational-creative activities are carried out with the support of the students of the“Apolloni” Art Institute.
The participating artists – by mutual agreement with the Sayato Gallery – donated works created during the creative workshops to the school.
On Saturday, May 27, the school, transformed into a veritable art gallery, opened its doors, under the patronage of Fano City Council’s Councillor for Educational Services Samuele Mascarin, to the school’s students, their families and all contemporary art enthusiasts.
