Sayato’s Altrove – Widespread and itinerant gallery project brings artist Roberta Guarinoni to exhibit some of her most recent works in the Castello di Serragiumenta, a historic Calabrian mansion dating back to the 1600s in Altomonte (CS).

The exhibition “Of the Sea and Other Dreams” can be visited daily until July 27 and brings together works inspired by the sea and the artist’s dreamlike suggestions, in a combination of mixed techniques and colors with strong visual impact.

The large spaces of the Castle-known for its hotel and banqueting business, as well as catering and events-provide an exhibition context in stark contrast to Roberta’s works, offering classically furnished rooms typical of a setting that until a few years ago was inhabited by the owners.

The Altrove project represents an evolution of Sayato’s exhibition activities and aims to bring the contemporary art produced by the artists who are part of the Gallery to contexts other than classic exhibition spaces by integrating the viewing of the works with other benefits such as, in the case of Serragiumenta, the possibility of lunch or dinner in the facility’s restaurant, or overnight stays.

Over the course of summer 2023 there will be at least three contemporary art events held in the beautiful Calabrian location.
