"ELEMENTS, Multiple Visions of Raw Materials" exhibition opens in Mondolfo with six contemporary women artists

On Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at 6 p.m., the exhibition“ELEMENTS, Multiple Visions of Raw Materials,” curated by Simona Zava and Alessandro Barulli, opens in Mondolfo. A project dedicated entirely to contemporary female art, promoted and organized by the City of Mondolfo in collaboration with Sayato Art Boutique. For the occasion, the Salone Aurora of the Sant’Agostino Monumental Complex will host the works of six contemporary artists, protagonists of the initiative: Roberta Guarinoni, Angelica Lucchetti, Sonia Scaccabarozzi, Sondra Segala, Francesca Torchia, and Anna Tozzi.

The event opens in conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, a call to empower all women and reiterate the great social potential that art holds as an intrinsic value.

Six women, six artists, some linked to the Marche region, others from different parts of Italy, each with their own peculiarities and their own professional and cultural paths, measure themselves in this new exhibition, with the aim of telling the complex and rich inner world that is returned to the viewer through their works.

Matter is the common thread of the exhibition, as a primordial element, tangible, but at the same time ductile and capable of transforming “into something else,” acquiring new form and substance. From Roberta Guarinoni’s ethereal painting, to Angelica Lucchetti’s delicate ceramic installations, Sonia Scaccabarozzi’s refined metal works, Sondra Segala’s textural encounter of wood and jute, to Francesca Torchia’s artistic metal textures and Anna Tozzi’s gold-engraved cracks, aka Atò, the exhibition is a tribute to female art and the tireless research, tackled with passion and dedication, of the six protagonists.

The appointment with Elements, Multiple Visions of Raw Materials, is then set for Saturday, Nov. 25, at 6 p.m., with the vernissage featuring the artists who created the works in the exhibition.

The exhibition can be visited until Sunday, January 14, 2024, during museum opening hours. Admission and guided tours are free of charge.
